Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
- Arrival in Marrakech: Arrive at Marrakech Airport and transfer to your accommodation.
- Accommodation: Overnight in Marrakech.
- Activity: Depending on your arrival time, you can explore some of Marrakech’s famous landmarks such as Jemaa el-Fnaa, Koutoubia Mosque, or Majorelle Gardens.
Day 2: Marrakech to Amizmiz - Trek to Ait Irghit Village
- Transfer: After breakfast, transfer from Marrakech to Amizmiz (approx. 1.5-2 hours by car).
- Meet the Team: Upon arrival in Amizmiz, meet your guide and muleteers.
- Trek: Start your trek from Amizmiz to Ait Irghit Village (approx. 5 hours of trekking), passing through scenic valleys and terraced fields.
- Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Berber home-cooked lunch in one of the local Berber homes along the way, allowing you to experience authentic Berber culture and hospitality.
- Accommodation: Overnight in a local Berber house in Ait Irghit.
- Activity: Enjoy the evening in a Berber home with a delicious Moroccan dinner.
Day 3: Ait Irghit to Imi Ourmer (Wild Area, Scenic Views)
- Distance: Approx. 6-7 hours of trekking
- Route: This trek takes you through a wild area with stunning scenic views of the Atlas Mountains, following a ridge of the mountain. There are no villages along the way, so you’ll be surrounded by nature and dramatic landscapes.
- Lunch: A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a beautiful spot along the ridge with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.
- Accommodation: Overnight in a Berber house in Imi Ourmer.
- Activity: After the trek, relax and enjoy the evening at a local Berber house, where you can savor traditional food and immerse yourself in local culture.
Day 4: Imi Ourmer to Tizkka Village – Tizi Oudaden Pass to Tnirt
- Distance: Approx. 6–7 hours of trekking
- Route:
- After breakfast in Imi Ourmer, start trekking toward Tizkka Village. Along the way, you will pass through scenic valleys, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
- Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch in Tizkka or in a scenic spot along the way.
- Afternoon Trek: After lunch, continue to Kettou Village. From here, begin the ascent towards Tizi n’Oudaden Pass, located at approximately 1,900 meters. This pass offers spectacular views of the valleys and mountains surrounding the area.
- After crossing the pass, descend towards Tnirt Village.
- Accommodation: Overnight in an auberge in Tnirt.
- Activity: Relax and enjoy a traditional dinner at the auberge. Take in the peaceful atmosphere of the village and enjoy a good rest after a long day of trekking.
Day 5: Tnirt to Valley of Ardouz – Hike to Addaghas near Toulkin Village
- Distance: Approx. 5-6 hours of trekking
- Route: Trek from Tnirt to the Valley of Ardouz, passing through traditional Berber villages and lush valleys.
- Lunch: Picnic in the Valley of Ardouz, enjoying the scenic beauty of the area.
- Afternoon Trek: Continue the hike to Addaghas, near Toulkin Village. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of the valley and mountains.
- Accommodation: Overnight in an auberge near Addaghas.
- Activity: Relax and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the auberge.
Day 6: Addaghas to Azgour – Picnic and Transfer to Marrakech
- Route: After breakfast, enjoy a 2-hour descent from Addaghas to the village of Azgour.
- Lunch: Picnic in Azgour, a peaceful village in the Atlas.
- Transfer: After lunch, drive back to Marrakech (approx. 2-3 hours by car).
- Accommodation: Overnight in Marrakech.
- Activity: Enjoy your evening in Marrakech, where you can visit the souks or relax at your hotel.
Day 7: Full-Day Excursion to Essaouira
- Excursion: A full-day trip to Essaouira, a charming coastal town. Explore the medina, Skala de la Ville, the fishing port, and the beaches. You can also enjoy fresh seafood by the harbor.
- Return to Marrakech: In the afternoon, head back to Marrakech.
- Accommodation: Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 8: Departure
- Transfer: Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Marrakech Airport for your departure.
