This trip will take you through a scenic drive from Marrakech over the highest mountain pass of North Africa (2,269 meters) Tizi-N-Tichka and fascinating views of the High Atlas walls until you reach the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the fortified clay city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Kasbah is used to shoot alot of famous movies such as The Jewel of the Nile, The Sheltering Sky, The Mummy, Gladiator…
Our journey starts from Marrakech at 0800hrs towards Ouarzazate. We drive across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass which sits between the great Marrakech plains and the gateway to the Sahara Desert . Before we reach the pass, we will have a couple of stops, one in a Berber village and for panoramic views of the Tizi-n-Tichka pass.
The drive continues down to Telouat valley seeing along the route beautiful Kasbah and Berber villages before we arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
On arrival, lunch will be served in one of the restaurants followed by a visit to the Kasbah which will take about one hour.
We will head back to Marrakech where we will finish this very exciting full day trip.
