ZAGORA DESERT TOUR VIA OURZAZATE

Venture deep into the Moroccan countryside during this rugged experience.

You will visit spectacular locations in the Atlas mountains, hop on a camel to reach the berber campsite and sleep under the stars.

Day 1 :

Our journey starts from Marrakech around 0800hrs towards  Zagora. We drive across the Tizi-n-Tichka  pass (2260m) which sits between the great Marrakech plains and the gateway to the Sahara Desert .

The drive continues  down to Telouat valley  seeing along the route beautiful Kasbah and berber villages.  We will stop for lunch in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which is one of the  spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  After lunch we  visit the Kasbah, then drive through Ouarzazate city to Agdz in the Draa Valley along the shores of the Draa river which is the longest river in Morocco until we reach Zagora.

Upon arrival in Zagora you will have tea before you start the camel ride to the campsite where you can enjoy the sunset  followed by a traditional tagine dinner.

After dinner you can enjoy some berber music around the camp fire and watch the shooting stars. A truly memorable experience.

Day 2 :

Early morning wake up to watch the first rays of sunlight for a magnificent sunrise.  Ride the camel back to the hotel  where you can have a shower  and breakfast.

After breakfast we drive back through the Draa valley to Ouarzazate where you can visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the flim studios.   We continue the drive through the Atlas mountains  where we  stop for  lunch.
