Experience the best of Morocco’s modern and cultural capital on this full-day trip from Marrakech to Casablanca. Travel through stunning landscapes before arriving in this dynamic city, where the blend of Moorish, Art Deco, and contemporary architecture tells a story of Morocco’s past and present. Explore the majestic Hassan II Mosque, wander along the Corniche, admire the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and discover the city’s vibrant streets and coastal charm. Whether you’re fascinated by history, architecture, or the cosmopolitan energy of Casablanca, this day trip promises an enriching experience.
Your journey begins with an early morning 7:00 AM pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as you travel through the lush plains on a three-hour drive to Casablanca. A short break along the way allows you to stretch and refresh before arriving in Morocco’s economic hub.
Upon arrival, your first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece standing on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. With its 210-meter-tall minaret, it is the tallest religious monument in the world, and one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors. Explore its breathtaking interiors adorned with intricate zellige tilework, carved cedarwood, and marble columns.
Next, take a leisurely stroll along Ain Diab’s Corniche, a lively coastal promenade lined with cafés, restaurants, and beautiful ocean views. Here, you can soak in the fresh sea breeze and vibrant atmosphere of Casablanca’s beachfront district.
The tour continues with a visit to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, an architectural landmark showcasing French colonial Gothic revival design. Though no longer an active church, the cathedral now hosts cultural exhibitions and remains a significant part of Casablanca’s history.
From there, explore the Art Deco district, where elegant 20th-century buildings reflect Casablanca’s unique blend of European and Moroccan influences. A stop at the Arab League Square, a lush park surrounded by historic architecture, offers a chance to experience the city’s daily life.
After lunch, enjoy a panoramic drive through Casablanca’s modern districts, getting a glimpse of the city’s contemporary side before starting the return journey to Marrakech. You’ll arrive back in the evening, with drop-off at your hotel or riad, concluding an unforgettable day in Morocco’s most cosmopolitan city.

Louise T2024-11-23Verified Personal tour not a tourist trap A throughly enjoyable day in the beautiful Atlas Mountains. We were quite nervous about the term trek but our guide Mouad reassured us. Learning about the country and culture was fascinating. His passion and knowledge of his country and the mountains was evident. The Berber family we visited were so hospitable and provided us with a beautiful meal. We chatted all-day and learned so much. His English was fantastic. The whole tour was very personal it didn’t feel like a manufactured tourist tour. Greg S2024-11-13Verified Superb trek in Morocco A fantastic trek with a superb lunch cooked and eaten in the house of a friendly local family. It was a great day to spend getting to see some of the “real” Morocco. Would definitely recommend this as a trip - far better than lounging around in your hotel! Mark M2024-11-07Verified Half day hike at Amizmiz We went on a half day hike above Amizmiz which was beautiful. Our walking guide Mouad is a truly inspiring individual whose conversation was incredibly engaging. We talked about everything from family life to the earthquake to the history of Morocco to the flora and fauna and so much more! Mouad is a beautiful character whose knowledge of the area was very complete. We returned to our hotel invigorated and excited by the experience. We recommend the morning time when it's cooler (this week was unseasonably hot). The area is stunningly beautiful and our experience unforgettable. Maps8238452024-09-05Verified Atlas Mountain with Mo, James and Flo Mouad was an incredible guide! We had the most amazing experience, trekking through the mountains and the forest with Mo. We also stopped at a local families home to share mint tea and delicious Tagine!Mo explained everything about his country, his hometown, politics and economy, culture and food, the invasion of France and of course how that changed with Morocco gaining independence. It was also incredibly moving to hear what was lost during the earthquake and heart warming to hear how everyone has come together in the wake of it to support and rebuild their communities.Big thank you again for this amazing experience during our honeymoon!
