Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Your Moroccan adventure begins in Casablanca, where you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. If you arrive early, you can take an optional tour to visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most impressive mosques in the world, and enjoy a stroll along the Corniche, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the city’s modern skyline. Relax and prepare for the journey ahead.

After breakfast, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you’ll visit iconic landmarks such as the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Chellah Necropolis, offering a glimpse into the country’s royal and historical past. From Rabat, continue north to the picturesque blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Wander through its charming blue-painted streets, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and admire the stunning mountain views as the sun sets over this magical town.

Spend the day exploring Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most beautiful and photogenic towns. Stroll through the medina’s winding alleys, where every corner reveals shades of blue and white, creating a dreamlike ambiance. Visit the Kasbah Museum, learn about the town’s rich history, and take a short hike to the Spanish Mosque, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Leaving the blue city behind, journey toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved mosaics and grand arches. Continue to Meknes, an imperial city with impressive monuments such as Bab Mansour, Lahdim Square, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After exploring Meknes, drive to Fez, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital, where you’ll settle into your riad and prepare to uncover its rich heritage the next day.

A local guide will take you on a fascinating journey through Fez, one of the oldest and most authentic cities in Morocco. Explore the UNESCO-listed Fez el-Bali (Old Medina), home to ancient madrasas, lively souks, and hidden courtyards. Visit the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, the world’s oldest continuously operating university, and admire the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa. Wander through the colorful tanneries, marvel at the Royal Palace gates, and take in a panoramic view of the medina from the Merenid Tombs.

Depart Fez and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture. Continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques, before passing through Midelt and the Ziz Valley, where palm groves and kasbahs line the road. Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, where you’ll embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy an unforgettable night in a luxury desert camp, with Berber music, traditional cuisine, and a sky full of stars.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes before returning to your camp for breakfast and refreshing shower. Return to Merzouga by camel. head toward the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with towering red cliffs that are a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Continue to the Dades Valley, where winding roads lead to dramatic rock formations and lush green oases. Spend the night in a charming riad overlooking the valley.

Travel through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rosewater production, before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” due to its film studios and historic kasbahs. Visit the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou, a striking fortified village that has appeared in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying breathtaking views, before arriving in the vibrant city of Marrakech.

Explore the lively streets of Marrakech, starting with its historic landmarks such as Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where snake charmers, storytellers, and street food vendors create an unforgettable atmosphere. Wander through the Majorelle Garden, a botanical oasis designed by Yves Saint Laurent, and admire the intricate architecture of the Ben Youssef Madrasa.
